Brachychiton discolor, Lacebark tree

A compact, somewhat rounded tree. Beautiful flowers. This makes a statement as a small feature tree for a contemporary or native garden.

Uses:

  • medium sized feature tree 5-15m
  • withstands light frosts
  • leaves 15-20 cm across
  • flowers pinkish, 5cm long falling soon after opening
  • fruit boat-shaped pods 8-12cm long
  • leaves fall in early summer before the flowers open large, flashy and bell-shaped– reddish pink to pink
